I spent my time in Puerto Rico on the western half of the island. It was a combined work/pleasure trip (as are many of my US trips) so I only had a few days to explore.

Raices (Roots) - a sculpture by Spanish artist Luis Sanguino. It shows the Amerindian, Spanish, and African origins of Puerto Rico.

This is the street between the Paseo and the Castillo de San Felipe del Morro (called El Morro for short.)

View atop El Morro. From here the Spanish fought off Great Britain, France, Holland, and pirates. It was finally taken by the US during the Spanish-American war. (1898)
Caribbean Beach
A view of a southern beach on the Caribbean, I don't remember which one!
El Yunque
The only tropical rain forest in the U.S. National Forest system. The park is in the Luquillo mountains, the name is from the god Yuquiyu who protected the islands original habitants, the Taino.
